Crew FAQ

Crew FAQ

1.         What qualifications do I need?

You must be a past graduate of the event on which you want to crew. Priority is given to people who have crewed extensively at our events.

2.         What commitments do I need to make as a crew member?

You need to be willing to commit time and energy.  Committing to the time means agreeing to be there for the entire time outlined in your acceptance letter.  Punctuality is extremely important to the smooth flowing of our events.  Generally you will need to be at the venue 2-3 hours prior to the commencement of the event and anywhere from 1-2 hours after the completion of the program (sometimes longer).

3.         How do I apply?

The only way you can apply is by completing a Crew Application Form online. The selection process is via the web and you will be contacted via email if you are successful.

4.         How does crewing work?

Crewing is on a voluntary basis and transport, accommodation, food and other expenses are your own responsibility.

By donating your time and energy as a crew member you get a behind-the-scenes view of how a world-class event unfolds.

Each person is assigned a role and becomes part of a smaller team. Each team has a Team Leader or Trainer assigned to it.  The crew team is managed by a crew manager from Tony’s company, Robbins Research Institute.

5.         What will my tasks be?

Your contribution/crew area will depend on what we know of you and whether you have been on one of our teams before. Largely you will be contributing in some very meaningful (although sometimes it may seem small to you) way to the success of the event.

Tasks are required to be carried out outside the room while the event is running.  Should this be a concern for you, we suggest you consider participating in the program as a delegate rather than a crew member.

6.         What will I get out of crewing?

We want to ensure that each crew member has a fun and worthwhile crewing experience.  Some people help staff on our programs just to find out how it is done.  Others come for the “team work” experience.  Most want to help the Tony Robbins campaign to change lives of others for the better. For each person it is different.

7.         Can I bring a friend?

Each volunteer must apply separately online and must qualify before they can crew an event.  Your friend must have attended at least one Anthony Robbins event previously and agree to meet crew obligations.

8.         What should I wear?

You will be provided with a crew-t-shirt.  This must be worn at all times during the event, and you will be expected to wear smart black or navy pants, excluding denim.  We recommend comfortable shoes like joggers or sneakers as days can be long when you’re operating on the Anthony Robbins’ clock.
